In early September 2015, Aylan Kurdi washed up on a beach and moved the world to action. In the sadness and anger a new movement was built – Refugees Welcome.

Refugees Welcome has worked over the past year to see thousands of Syrian refugees resettled, the Dubs amendment won, and 3,000 more children to brought to safety from the region.

People from across the country have organised like never before to create a welcoming country and welcoming communities, forming over 90 Refugees Welcome campaign groups around the UK.

The global refugee crisis is the largest in generations. Millions of people need our help and we need to do more. The country stands ready and willing but we need our political leaders to act to make change happen.
